Tundra Swan (Cygnus columbianus)
Tundra Swan has a few resting sites in the Baltic States. Sometimes several individuals stay for the whole winter season in the shallow brackish lagoons, sheltered coastal bays and estuaries, where they forage and sleep on open waters.

Tundra Swan is herbivorous. Seeds, fruits, leaves, roots, stems of aquatic plants are in its diet. So the wintering or migration resting sites are selected based on whether there are plenty of plants.
